Our Mission
Promoting Responsible Rottweiler Ownership and Canine Welfare
The mission of The Maltese Rottweiler Club is to encourage responsible Rottweiler ownership, promote informed understanding of the breed, support humane treatment and canine welfare, and foster constructive engagement among people who share an interest in Rottweilers in Malta.

Knowledge comes first
We believe that responsible ownership begins with knowledge. Owners should understand the needs of their dogs, recognize the importance of appropriate training and socialization, provide suitable veterinary care, and remain committed to their animals throughout their lives.
Our educational focus encourages practical decisions that support the welfare of dogs and the safety and confidence of the people around them. We also recognize the importance of accurate information, respectful public communication, and a community culture that prioritizes responsible handling over stereotypes or sensationalism.
Promoting responsible ownership
Encourage owners to prepare adequately, understand the breed's needs, and make informed decisions before and after bringing a dog into their home.
Supporting canine welfare
Promote awareness of appropriate nutrition, exercise, preventive veterinary care, humane treatment, and suitable living conditions.
Encouraging education
Make reliable information about breed characteristics, dog behaviour, training principles, and everyday care accessible to interested visitors.
Strengthening community understanding
Encourage respectful relationships among owners, neighbours, families, and the wider community.
Supporting lifelong commitment
Promote the understanding that dog ownership involves continuing responsibilities that change as a dog grows, ages, and develops different needs.
Communicating responsibly
Present organizational information accurately and encourage visitors to verify important legal, veterinary, and animal welfare matters with the appropriate authorities or qualified professionals.
